Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly reveals why she felt 'horrible' after speaking about Rams QB on her podcast
Throughout his NFL career, Matthew Stafford's popularity has only increased. Fans continue to remain interested in the quarterback, as well as his life outside of the field.
Naturally, this includes his wife Kelly. With over 400 thousand followers on Instagram, Kelly Stafford is known to share updates with fans, while maintaining her carefree, candid stance.
She even hosts a podcast, The Morning After, with reporter Hank Winchester, where they discuss everything related to the NFL and more.
However, Kelly admitted that her words ultimately affected Stafford's locker room. Speaking to E! News about Stafford's view on the podcast, Kelly revealed that was the only time she felt 'horrible'.
"There has been one time throughout this whole thing, where he's like, 'All right, let's talk about this'. I thought I was speaking on just the way the world has changed. Turns out, it really affected his locker room."
Apparently, it was the only time Matthew Stafford asked her to refrain from talking about something.
"So that was the one time he was like, 'Listen, talk about whatever you want, but don't talk about anything that can affect my locker room'. And I felt horrible that entire month about that. But otherwise, he's really supportive."
In September 2023, Kelly Stafford spoke on her podcast about Matthew having trouble connecting with younger players on the Rams. Although, the QB downplayed those comments.
Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly continues to be candid on her podcast
While filtering out comments that could affect Matthew Stafford's locker room atmosphere, Kelly continues to discuss important matters at hand. This includes some current events, and certain throwbacks she can delve into.
In a podcast episode earlier this year, Kelly revealed how their 2022 Super Bowl win was incredibly stressful for her. So much so, that she ended up throwing up while attempting to salvage the situation.
It was so taxing, that Kelly referred to the whole ordeal as 'miserable'.
"Every game I couldn’t hold anything down. I was miserable. Looking back, it was just very blurry. I threw up twice. I kept it together though for the most part,” Kelly Stafford said per the New York Post.
That being said, Kelly implied that the entire year was stressful for her.
Of course, no amount of stress has stopped Kelly Stafford from supporting her husband on the field. The children and Kelly were recently at the Rams training camp, celebrating the QB as he begins his 16th NFL season.
