Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly shares why she thinks Monday Night Football 'sucks'

While Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly has supported the quarterback's NFL career, she finds certain aspects of the league unentertaining. Monday Night Football is one of those things.

In Thursday's "The Morning After" podcast, Kelly Stafford and co-host Hank Winchester discussed MNF.

"Monday night football sucks. I'm sorry you have to wait all week all weekend watch everyone else play all day Monday and then you play," Stafford said.

Winchester opposed Kelly's opinion and added:

“But it's also a privilege to play on Monday night football because they're only having teams that they know are going to draw ratings and Matthew for so many years when the Lions struggled like deserve to be in those Prime Time spots. When you win a Super Bowl and you're Super Bowl winning quarterback, you get prime time slots so that's just the way it goes.” (6:18)

Kelly Stafford revealed hiding injury from Matthew Stafford

Kelly Stafford's take on MNF came almost a day after she recalled hiding her back injury from Matthew Stafford. In Wednesday's episode of "The Morning After," she explained how she struggled to hide her back injury from the Rams quarterback but eventually revealed it to him.

"I can't tell Matthew that I hurt my back playing tennis because he'll just look like 'get out'. So you know I carry it for a while. I'm just kind of gingerly walking around and finally he's like 'what is wrong with you?' I'm like 'babe I didn't want to tell you what I think I threw my back,'" Kelly Stafford said. (15:16)

"And he just shook his head and called the doctors to see what we should do. They put me on steroids. They think it's like a dis situation but it will help my back feel supported. Thank God, because that really actually did help a lot. So now I understand why Matthew's firmness is really high up."

Kelly Stafford has been making headlines lately due to her controversial and entertaining statements. Last week, she went viral for reacting in "panic" due to Matthew Stafford's Vikings trade rumors.
