"Shut up b**ch" - Maxx Crosby gets candid on NFSW conversations with Patrick Mahomes during heated on-field battles
Patrick Mahomes and Maxx Crosby play against each other twice per year, with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders together in the AFC West. Although there's no real competitiveness in their levels, the battles between the quarterback and the defender have been great.
Crosby's job is to pressure Mahomes - and hit him whenever the chance is available. It's fair to think that, with two superstars, lots of trash talk and a rivalry, they could have some ill feelings towards the other. But the Raiders defender appeared on "The Let's Go Podcast" to explain that, although the language isn't pretty, they're good friends:
"I tell everybody I love Patrick. That's why we're so close to each other every every time we see each other. You know that's my guy. I respect the hell out of him. I look at him as the best at his position. I look at myself with the best of what I do. So it just a match made in heaven. It's either like, Pat looks at me, and he's like, 'that was a good rush. That was good s*t.' Or, like, I make him step up, throw the ball real quick. "
"He's like, 'That would have been a touchdown if you weren't there.' I'm like, 'appreciate it.' And then there's other times he's like, 'Get behind me man, get up off me.' I'm like, 'Shut up b*tch.' That's our conversation sometimes. So you know, it gets a little rated R from time to time."
Raiders, Crosby almost upset Mahomes' Chiefs in Black Friday game
This season, the quarterback had the last laugh, as the Chiefs defeated the Raiders in both games during the regular season. But their Week 13 matchup was extremely tight, and had it not been for a late fumble, Las Vegas would've upset their rivals.
In the same podcast, Crosby spoke about how close they were to winning the game, even if ultimately they couldn't finish the 19-17 game.
“We had them, You know what I mean? We had them.hThey knew we had them. I mean I talked to Patrick, you know, after the game. He’s just like y’all had us. Like everybody across the board, but doesn’t matter.”
