Maxx Crosby makes feeling clear on Tom Brady as Raiders minority owner
Maxx Crosby gave his take on Tom Brady finally getting cleared to take over as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. The defensive star's future with the franchise has been in doubt ever since star wide receiver Davante Adams was traded to the Jets, which cast doubts on how focused they are about winning now.
The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback is the ultimate winner in the NFL, and he is inspiring Crosby to try and reach the same heights.
Talking about Brady, the Raiders player said on "The Let's Go Pod":
"We've had a really cool relationship, but we have ultimate respect for each other. What he's done with his career, on and off the field, and it's something I aspire to be like. He's the greatest to ever do it. I'm trying to be the greatest ever do it. So he's inspired me in a lot of ways."
Maxx Crosby reveals that Tom Brady sent him inspiring text
Revealing that the new Raiders minority owner is taking his responsibilities seriously, Maxx Crosby said he received a text from Tom Brady on Thursday morning.
"Thursday morning, first person that text me in the morning was Tom Brady, chopping it up, asking questions, telling me how, you know, 'keep leading, keep doing what you're doing,'" Crosby said. "'Things are going to get better, and things are going to improve.' I think it's really cool, because he's only at the highest level I have the ultimate respect for."
The Raiders are 2-5 for the season, their only wins coming against a slow-starting Baltimore Ravens and the hapless Cleveland Browns. They have lost their last three games and are at the bottom of the AFC West standings.
The defensive end has been one of the few bright spots in 2024, racking up 6.5 sacks in six games, illustrating his importance and showing perhaps why Brady was quick to send him a text after taking minority ownership of the Raiders.
