Mecole Hardman Madden 23 ratings: Is the new Jets WR any good in the game?
Free agent wide receiver Mecole Hardman will be leaving the Kansas City Chiefs. The 25-year-old receiver agreed to terms with the New York Jets on a one-year deal worth up to $6.5 million.
The two sides agreed to terms on Wednesday, March 22.
Hardman, a former second-round pick out of Georgia in the 2019 NFL Draft, played the last four seasons in Kansas City. He won two Super Bowls and was named a Pro Bowler and All-Pro in 2019.
In his career, he has recorded 151 receptions, 2,088 yards, and 16 touchdowns.
On Madden, Hardman currently has an 80 overall. He has a Playmaker archetype and a Short Stride Loose Running Style, according to maddenratings.com.
He will be another good target for the Jets to use in Madden as they have also added wide receiver Allen Lazard in free agency.
The Jets continue to add talent this off-season by signing Mecole Hardman
The New York Jets may be one of the most improved teams in 2023. With the signing of Mecole Hardman, they've now added him and former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard.
They are also expected to acquire Aaron Rodgers this off-season once a deal goes through when both sides can agree on compensation.
The offense will get Breece Hall back after he suffered a season-ending ACL and meniscus tear last season. Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson will also be entering his second season after recording over 1,000 yards with Zach Wilson, Mike White, and Joe Flacco.
They finished last season 7-10 while boasting one of the best defenses in the league. Their defense was led by Defensive Rookie of the Year, Sauce Gardner. Once the Jets acquire Rodgers, they'll have the star power to become one of the best teams in the NFL.
