Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills box score, match player stats and summary feat. De'Von Achane's TD
With a 2-5 record entering Week 9, the Miami Dolphins harbored hope that Tua Tagovailoa's return was not a case of too little too late. Despite Tagovailoa making a comeback from another concussion, the Dolphins fell to a 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday, leaving them with just two wins on the season.
A matchup against a Bills team coasting at 6-2 tested the Dolphins through and through.
The Bills got on the scoreboard first with a 40-yard field goal from Tyler Bass after a stalled first drive. The Dolphins appeared to imitate the Bills, replying with a 39-yard field goal of their own as both offenses struggled to get going. A rough Josh Allen interception prevented the Bills from getting their first TD of the day early on after Jalen Ramsey made sure to keep Keon Coleman in check.
De'Von Achane finally had the first TD of the night with a 14-yard catch-and-run move. The Bills stumbled in response but just when the play was breaking down, Josh Allen managed a 15-yard run to grab a first down. That should have led to their first TD of the afternoon but consecutive holding penalties set the Bills back instantly which meant they had to settle for another field goal, heading into the break behind 10-6.

Both the Bills and the Dolphins kept things ticking pretty efficiently barring one fumble from Raheem Mostert when the Dolphins, who were down by 7, were forced to take a breath after Jaylen Waddle went down with an injury.
Waddle promptly returned and caught a seven-yard pass from Tagovailoa to tie the game, putting the Bills in a tough spot.
But Josh Allen kept it simple, driving the Bills up the field. Head coach Sean McDermott then decided to turn to his kicker Tyler Bass, who drilled a 61-yard kick to hand the Bills the lead and the win with five seconds to spare.
With that win, the Bills improve to 7-2 on the season and 3-0 in division play after beating Miami for the sixth time in a row.
