Micah Parsons’ brother delivers concrete defense of Dak Prescott on social media

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has formed formidable relationships in the dressing room. However, those bonds do not stay limited to players but extend to their families as well. Such was the case, as linebacker Micah Parsons’ brother came to the aid of Prescott.

The Cowboys, like other franchises, have been employing their second-string players for the preseason games. Dallas’ backup quarterback Trey Lance hasn’t been able to fulfill the role well, being subject to ridicule by analysts and fans alike.

In a post on X (previously Twitter), one fan expressed astonishment at Lance throwing five picks in a preseason game against the LA Chargers on Saturday. The Cowboys lost 26-19 to the Chargers at AT&T Stadium. Another X user took this as an opportunity to throw shade at Dak Prescott, writing:

“Learned it from his mentor.”

Micah Parsons' brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., did not waste this opportunity to set the record straight.

“Lmfaoo if this is a shot at dak that’s insane Dak has never done anything close lol and dak has a top 6 TD to INT ratio EVER lol he’s one of the best all time at not throwing picks 🤣,” Terrence wrote.

Even though the Cowboys have yet to sign Prescott to a new contract, it is clear that the 31-year-old has several supporters in and out of the dressing room.

Dak Prescott reveals contract talks with Cowboys

Dak Prescott is merely months away from becoming a free agent. He has expressed his desire to stay with the "America’s Team," yet he understands that in the end, it is a business. Prescott revealed to The Athletic that progress is being made for a new contract.

“Good conversations are going on, I will say that,” Prescott said. “A lot of good things are going on there. A lot of confidence. I have confidence in my guys and these guys getting something done. I’m happy where I am right now and that’s really where my focus is.
“I enjoy being a Cowboy, one thousand percent. I enjoy living in Dallas. I enjoy everything about it. But this is a business. Conversations are going well. But I’m thankful to be where I am right now.”

The Cowboys will start their 2024 season on Sept. 8 against the Cleveland Browns. The fans would hope that Prescott’s contract gets finalized by then.
