Micah Parsons fires back after NFL analyst calls him out following Ravens loss
Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The linebacker had five tackles and just one quarterback hit in the game.
Following the Cowboys' loss, Ravens Wire's Kevin Oesteicher posted a clip of Baltimore's highlights from the game with the caption, "Lamar Jackson and the Ravens had Micah Parsons dazed and confused in Week 3."
In a now-deleted post on X, Parsons responded to Oesteicher:
"ima give yall quick education for now on!! When you have a tight coming across your face you are a spill AKA dive player!! It's call called gap replace!! Nothing confusing or hard about it !! It's very simple fundamental football played at all levels!!," Parsons wrote.
The Cowboys were outscored by the Ravens 28-6 in the first three quarters. They were unable to score a touchdown in the first half and allowed 21 points to their opponents.
Dallas was blanked in the third quarter but scored 19 in the fourth with still 2:53 left in the game. However, the Ravens were able to hold on and stopped the Cowboys' comeback attempt. They won 28-25.
Damien Woody called out Micah Parsons after the Ravens' loss to the Cowboys
Following Sunday's game, former NFL offensive lineman and now analyst Damien Woody also called out Micah Parsons.
Some suggested that Parsons called out some of his teammates during the postgame press conference as he said they were trying to do too much.
Woody then responded by questioning what Parsons did in the game and why he gave that statement.
"Bro, you haven't looked at the film. Talking about guys being Superman and all that, you haven't looked at the film!," Woody said. "Why don't you hold yourself accountable? Like damn, 'I need to play better.' What the hell did you do? I mean the whole defense got absolutely manhandled, what the hell did you do Micah Parsons?"
The Cowboys are now 1-2 for the season. They won in Week 1 then suffered losses to the New Orleans Saints and Ravens. Dallas will be back in action on Thursday evening as they host the New York Giants.
