Micah Parsons gets real about fake jewelry after Titans' diamond chains get tested
Micah Parsons isn't hiding the truth about his jewelry collection. The Dallas Cowboys superstar came across a video from the Tennessee Titans' TikTok account where the players had the authenticity of their diamond chains and earrings put to the test.
Every player passed the beep test without any hiccups, with some even jokingly getting annoyed about the suggestion that they would sport fake jewelry or get scammed. However, unlike the stars on the Titans roster, Parsons admitted that he owns faux diamond chains and necklaces. He reposted the Titans' video on X and captioned it:
"Ima be real mine fake asf I won’t even waste your time!"
Parsons seemingly loves the bling but prefers not to spend money on it. While he admits that he wears fake jewelry, he has splurged his cash on expensive necklaces in the past.
Micah Parsons once bought a $50,000 chain
Back in 2022, the pass rusher reportedly spent $50,000 on a diamond chain and pendant that had his name and jersey number on it. According to TMZ's report, the chain alone had 30 karats of natural VVS diamonds encrusted on it.
The custom piece was designed and created by Miami-based jeweler Christian Johnston, who founded a brand called GLD Shop. He also revealed that the $50,000 chain and pendant Micah Parsons bought wasn't his first expensive purchase. According to Johnston, the Cowboys star had been his client since his time at Penn State. He told TMZ,
"Micah has been working with me and Gld for a few years. We've actually made all of his jewelry and he's become a great friend since we met about five years ago."
It is still unclear whether Parsons still owns the chain and pendant that Johnston designed for him. Regardless, the 25-year-old admitted he doesn't wear any real jewelry in public, perhaps as a precautionary measure or due to concerns of theft.
