Micah Parsons raises concern on Eagles shipping picks for Kevin Byard: "He's at the end of his career"

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has never been short of expressing himself and his recent comments are no different. Parsons was on his podcast, 'The Edge,' and spoke on the Eagles acquiring safety Kevin Byard to bolster their defense.

Needless to say, the linebacker didn't love the trade as he went after the move by going after Byard's career up to this point:

"Obviously, Byard is at the end of his career. So giving up a fifth and a sixth, it's kind of tricky, especially saying the type of talent that a lot of teams been getting late in these rounds right?
"The type of picks, undrafted guys, seventh-round guys like Purdy. And y'all know way more fifth and sixth phenomenal players that go on these rounds. So you don't know about the two studs the Titans could get out of those two picks."

Per multiple sources, Philadelphia sent safety Terrell Edmunds and two draft picks back to the Tennessee Titans. Byard is a potential game-changer for the Eagles' defense as he's a two-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro.

He racked up 674 tackles, 27 interceptions, and four sacks in 120 career games with the Titans. Philadelphia has been dealing with injuries in their secondary as of late.

One of those injuries is All-Pro cornerback Darius Slay, who missed the Eagles Week 6 game against the Jets with an ankle injury.

The Byard deal also keeps the Eagles in the conversation as a top defense with Micah Parsons and the Cowboys. Both teams are in the top 10 in fewest yards allowed per game this season.

When will Micah Parsons face Byard and the Eagles this season?

Parsons and the Cowboys have yet to face the Eagles this season but that will change in Week 9 at Lincoln Financial Field. Last season, each team won at home in their two matchups.

Dallas is sitting in second place with a 4-1 record behind the Eagles, who have a record of 6-1. That Week 9 matchup will have some bulletin board material thanks to Micah Parsons' comments on Byard.

We'll see where both teams stand in a couple of weeks in what could decide the NFC East.
