“I’m still shocked” – Micah Parsons reveals he was in awe of Luka Doncic after exchanging jerseys with Mavs superstar
The city of Dallas has been blessed with two generational players in the form of Luka Doncic and Micah Parsons. Both the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Cowboys struck gold in the draft by drafting these two superstars.
Micah Parsons caught up with Doncic after the latter guided the Mavericks to a big win over the Golden State Warriors. Speaking about his conversation with Luka Doncic, Parsons said this:
“I had reached out to (Luka) and said, ‘I’m gonna need that jersey.’ … I said to him, ‘I’m still shocked that we’re the same age and the things that your accomplishing and doing in this league is pretty phenomenal.’ It was great to meet him.”
In the 116-113 win over the Golden State Warriors, Luka Doncic ended up with a triple-double while scoring 41 points and recording 12 assists and rebounds each.
He is an MVP candidate this season, and despite a sub-par supporting cast around him, Luka Doncic has been able to play extremely well. He has averaged 33.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 8.6 assists in 19 games this season.
Micah Parsons has also played exceptionally well this season, and the Dallas Cowboys are Super Bowl contenders. Fans will hope that both Doncic and Parsons will be able to bring both an NBA Championship and a Super Bowl to the city of Dallas.
Micah Parsons and the Cowboys could surprise many this season
The Dallas Cowboys have an opportunity to surprise this season. They are playing well and the defense led by Micah Parsons is capable of shutting down any team on any given night.
Last season, Luka Doncic led the Dallas Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals, and anything less than an NFC Championship Game this season will be a disappointment for the Cowboys.
Both their defense and offense have played quite well in recent weeks, and it will be interesting to see how they perform in the playoffs, if they make it that far. The Cowboys do have a tendency to lose big games, but this talented team could really make some noise this season.
The Cowboys are still interested in acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. If they are successful in getting OBJ to Dallas, they could come out of the NFC and reach the Super Bowl this season.
Standing at 8-3 and second in the NFC East, the Cowboys have everything to play for. We will see if they can push on in the coming weeks.
