Michael Irvin implores former side Dallas Cowboys to sign Super Bowl-winning WR and establish "another dynasty"
The Dallas Cowboys have played quite well this season and are perceived as a Super Bowl contender by many. Their defense has been elite throughout the season, and now the offense has also started to dominate in the past few weeks.
Former Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin has always spoken highly about his team and recently claimed that the Dallas Cowboys need to add one more player to make a Super Bowl run this season.
That player is none other than Odell Beckham Jr. The Cowboys are heavily interested in getting OBJ, and Irvin also pleads the same. Here's what he said about OBJ and the Cowboys on First Take:
"We're gonna win a Super Bowl with Odell. We're gonna be another dynasty. That's exactly what I just said. Let me so it comes across Clem Dale, we will win a Super Bowl, with Odell. We will win many Super Bowls..."
The Cowboys will undoubtedly get helped by adding Odell Beckham Jr. but whether they will transform into a dynasty is a huge question.
The Cowboys face competition from the likes of the New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills in the race to acquire Odell Beckham Jr., and in the coming weeks, the receiver is likely to announce his decision.
Stephen A. Smith wasn't impressed by Michael Irvin's take on the Dallas Cowboys
Stephen A. Smith disagreed with what Michael Irvin said about the Dallas Cowboys and Odell Beckham Jr. He said this in reply to Michael Irvin:
"I love Odell Beckham Jr. The brother is something special. I believe he would have been a Super Bowl MVP last year had he not gotten hurt. But last time I checked, he went down with a non contact injury."
Stephen A. Smith added:
"But suddenly, because Odell Beckham Jr. arrived a dynasty Don't you have to win one first? And could you count on him to beat him for two or three? You can't."
The Dallas Cowboys do tend to choke in big games, and that is what Stephen A. has been predicting all year long. Last season was a perfect example of this as the Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wildcard Game.
Whether or not Odell Beckham Jr. signs with the Cowboys remains to be seen, but this Dallas team has the potential to do something special this season.
