Michael Penix Jr.'s girlfriend Olivia sends 4-word message after Falcons rookie records first NFL win
Michael Penix Jr. was designated as the Atlanta Falcons' starter for the New York Giants matchup after Kirk Cousins lost four of the previous five games. It was a decision that had not been made easily, since Cousins had signed a $180 million contract with the team.
The Michael Penix bet paid off as he led the team to a 34-7 victory. It came against the Giants who are the worst team in the league entering Week 16 and have the first overall draft pick. It will boost Penix's confidence who has to lead the team through two more regular season games.
Olivia Carter, Michael Penix's girlfriend, took to Instagram to post a celebratory post. She posted a back view picture of the couple with Penix's hand on her waist. Carter donned a black leather jacket and a white hat for the Giants game.
She captioned the post, "in Michael we trust ❤️ #rise up"
The Falcons with their 8-7 record, still aren't out of playoff contention but they'll have a hard time making it to the postseason. They have the Washington Commanders next, led by standout rookie, Jayden Daniels.
Their divisional rivals and leaders, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on the other hand, have an easy schedule with games against the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers.

She had captioned her story, "mama penix is going to make her way to the stage."
In another story, she shared a picture posing with Michael Penix Jr. ahead of the game, captioning it, "Let's gooo nine."
The duo made their relationship public in November of 2023 when the two started posting pictures with each other on Instagram.
Penix also revealed that he was with his girlfriend eating a hotdog at Costco when he got the call informing him that he was going to be the Falcons starter going forward.
