Mike Florio calls out Micah Parsons for speaking about CeeDee Lamb’s negotiation with Cowboys

Micah Parsons has mostly stayed quiet as CeeDee Lamb's holdout has inched closer to the regular season. However, he decided he couldn't be quiet anymore. Speaking in an interview posted on the Cowboys website per "Pro Football Talk," Parsons claimed that he expected the wide receiver to be ready for Week 1.

Speaking on Wednesday's edition of "Pro Football Talk," NFL analyst Mike Florio called out Parsons for speaking about "another man's financial situation" [00:00:38]:

"Micah, don't talk about another man's financial situation. Don't do it. Let him handle it. Don't write a check that he's going to be there Week 1. He's trying to make Jerry Jones think he's not going to be there Week 1. ... Don't talk about your teammates ever outside the family. You want to handle business in the locker room? Fine. Don't say anything [in public]."

Here's how Parsons put it in the Cowboys interview, as quoted by Mike Florio:

"I'm pretty sure he will be here soon because no doubt about it, Week 1, he will be suited up to the Dallas Cowboys."

Of course, Parsons has reason to want Lamb back on the field as soon as possible. If Lamb skips out on any games that the team loses, Parsons will see his value impacted negatively. That said, any digging at all in the spring would likely clear Micah Parsons from all of the blame for being associated with the loss. However, it falls on Jones to do the digging on Parsons' behalf.

Exploring CeeDee Lamb's direct connection to Micah Parsons' upcoming negotiation with Cowboys

Without Lamb, there is less of a chance of the Cowboys getting a big lead. When the Dallas Cowboys have a big lead, it forces opponents to throw more often.

For every play that a team runs the ball, Parsons loses an opportunity to generate a sack. As such, more passes create more opportunities for Parsons to rack up sacks. With more sacks comes more leverage in his upcoming negotiation next offseason.

Therefore, CeeDee Lamb's holdout could have a direct influence on how much Parsons makes on his next deal. Will Lamb end his holdout before the regular season?
