NFL analyst accuses Aaron Rodgers of creating locker room toxicity

Former Pittsburgh Steelers star Ryan Clark has pointed the finger at Aaron Rodgers for the Packers lockeroom toxicity. After Green Bay struggled mightily through seven games, many questions are being asked about the NFC North franchise.

On 'The Pat McAfee Show' on Tuesday, Rodgers stated that players were making too many mistakes. He hinted that some personnel changes should be forthcoming, and it didn't sit well with everyone. Clark being one.

Sammy Watkins on Aaron Rodgers’ @PatMcAfeeShow comments: “If you’re not performing or executing … then I’m with Aaron. If I’m not playing well and I’m freaking up and busting plays, get me out of the game because that’s not helping the team.”

The former Steelers star was a guest on ESPN's 'GetUp' and accused the Packers star of creating an unlikeable lockerroom vibe.

Clark said:

“Hey, Aaron must be back on the shrooms right now. Aaron, man. Come on, guy, like you can't do this. And I get it. I get what he's saying, right? I get the bravado and the arrogance and the confidence that comes with what Aaron Rodgers has accomplished in his career.
"You know what? If you guys don't like what I'm saying, then you can come to me. Well, first off, he actually didn't point out anybody specifically.

Clark then added:

"Now, if you come to Aaron Rodgers, you know you're the guy messing up. You basically admit it. You're talking about me. So that's the first reason you can't come to him. Here's the second reason. Aaron Rodgers doesn't seem to me to be, that we can have an adult conversation and walk away like any type of person. Right.

Clark finished:

"He doesn't seem to be the dude that I can walk up to as Ryan Clark and be like, 'Hey, man, look here, bro. Like, I think you need to stop throwing your teammates under the bus. I think you need to focus on you. Let's use the thumb more than to pointer finger and figure out a way that we could get this together.'”

All is not well in Green Bay right now. And it seems that Clark thinks that number 12 has a lot to do with it.

Aaron Rodgers and Packers struggling for consistency

Consistency. That's what the Packers have been under Rodgers the last three seasons. Only losing three games for the entire season. Now, through seven games in this season, Green Bay has lost four already.

Losing Davante Adams can't be the cause can it? We will likely never know, but this year's Packers are struggling to find consistency in their football.

It now has them two games behind the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings. They are staring at missing the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

Green Bay needs to figure out its issues and quick; otherwise, with their tough schedule, they could be out of playoff contention with months to play.

Unthinkable, right?
