New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins box score, player stats and game summary feat. Aaron Rodgers, Tua Tagovailoa and more

The New York Jets clearly don't have anything other than pride left to play for entering Week 14 but it appears Aaron Rodgers isn't throwing in the towel just yet. In an interview with Pat McAfee earlier this week, Rodgers made it known he will be suiting up for the rest of the games.

According to a few rumors, the Jets are already preparing to replace the four-time NFL MVP but it remains to be seen how the rest of the year pans out.

Jets have not scored a TD on any opening drive so far and that steak continued as they put their kicked in play, putting their first points on the board with 5:19 to go after De’Von Achane’s 2-yard TD put the Dolphins on top. Jason Sanders’ 39-yard field goal put the Dolphins up 9-3. The Jets promptly responded with Isaiah Davis as the rookie went at the defense with a 17-yard TD run. They kept that lead for a while until Miami responded at 13-12.

New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins game summary

In the second half, a 48-yard kickoff return got Miami close to midfield with 44 seconds left. However, the Dolphins failed to make the most of it, which meant they had to settle for their 8th loss of the year. They ultimately had to settle for a field goal as Miami held on for dear life to keep their playoffs hope alive.

The Jets finally showed some signs of life but it was a matter of too little too late. The incoming management will likely have to take a long, hard look at the offense and the defense to figure out where things went wrong this year.

The 32-26 win in overtime means the Dolphins keep their slim hopes of a spot in the playoffs alive while the Jets, who didn't have anything left to play for, will inch closer to a top-5 selection in April's NFL Draft.
