NFL analyst believes Tom Brady’s time as a game changer is over - “He's done as a difference maker in this league”

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers crashed out of the playoffs following a disappointing 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round.

The Bucs' offense, which looked poor throughout the season, was able to put up just 14 points. Brady had a poor game as well. He completed 35/66 passes for 351 yards, which accounted for two touchdowns and a huge interception.

Due to Brady's poor performance against the Cowboys, Nick Wright believes that the Bucs QB is no longer a game changer. Here's what Wright said on "First Things First" about Tom Brady:

"I might have been a little early to this train by about seven years, but I do think it is safe to say he's done as a difference maker in this league. There was all the writing on the wall all year and you were all over it and I didn't.
"I had been bitten by this too many times and I was like no, come the playoffs we're gonna see some magic and not only do we not see some magic, we saw one of his worst playoff games ever.
"It is incredibly difficult for a statuesque quarterback to thrive. I think it is impossible for a 45 soon-to-be six-year-old, statuesque quarterback to thrive."

Both Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played poorly throughout the season, but many had hoped that they could turn their fortunes around in the playoffs. That wasn't the case, and with Brady's free agency decision looming, the franchise has a bleak future ahead.

An important offseason awaits Tom Brady

It didn't go as planned in what was likely Tom Brady's final game as a Buccaneer. The seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback missed throws that he was able to execute last season, and he now faces major questions.

It is unlikely that Brady will retire, but he is almost certain to join a new team next season. Multiple teams will be on the quarterback's radar, and hopefully, he will be able to find the best possible situation for him.

He is still hungry for more Super Bowls, and it won't be a surprise if we see him playing well again next season with a good situation around him. As to where that might be is still anyone's guess.
