"Fakest undefeated team": NFL analyst calls out Chiefs despite Travis Kelce's highlight TD vs Raiders
The Kansas City Chiefs are on a roll! After Week 8, they're still undefeated and if you count last year as well, they're on a 13-game winning streak. This is partly thanks to TE Travis Kelce's TD in their latest outing vs the Las Vegas Raiders.
But not everyone is convinced that despite their spotless record this year, they're a force to be reckoned with. Speaking on the "HQ Spotlight" show, analyst Mike Renner had some harsh things to say about the reigning Super Bowl champions.
"This is one of the fakest undefeated teams right now in the NFL. They're blowing nobody out. 5 one score wins so far in the season."
Except for the New Orleans Saints and the San Francisco 49ers, the team has won by a margin of seven points or less. Not just that, Renner also put a timeline till when the Chiefs' winning streak would continue.
According to him, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs will meet their match in their divisional rivals, the Denver Broncos, on Nov. 101 and their streak will come to an end.
When he was asked which teams in the league right now are better than the Chiefs, he did not have an answer. Although Renner did say that he wasn't insinuating that they are not good, merely that the Chiefs were not a "juggernaut" team.
Did Taylor Swift predict Travis Kelce's touchdown?
During the second quarter of the game, Patrick Mahomes threw a pass toward Travis Kelce for his first touchdown of the season. And it couldn't have come on a better day than National Tight Ends' Day.
And if that wasn't coincidence enough, it seems Taylor Swift might have predicted the touchdown. Just the night before, Travis' beau, Taylor Swift, was performing at New Orleans, on October 26.
While performing "Midnight Rain", the billionaire pop star made a touchdown symbol using her arms. The crowd couldn't contain their excitement and their loud cheers.
Some fans took to social media to share a video of Taylor showing the touchdown sign, saying that Kelce would score a touchdown in the next day's game vs the Raiders.
Although she missed the Chiefs game, it seems her blessings traveled miles to help Travis score his first touchdown of the season.
Can the Chiefs' talisman continue to bless them with good luck as they attempt to achieve the NFL's first three-peat? Only time will tell.
