NFL analyst claims Dolphins are “in trouble” with Odell Beckham Jr. set to miss at least four games

Odell Beckham Jr. is back on injury watch. The Dolphins receiver is slated to miss at least the first four games of the season. While some analysts believe that the loss is minimal considering his production over the last few years, one analyst is sounding the alarm.

Speaking on "Pro Football Talk" on Thursday, NFL analyst Charean Williams laid out the wide receiver issues facing the team.

"Well, the bigger problem for them is River Craycraft got hurt in the preseason and is on injured reserve. I think they have four receivers on injury reserve, and now Odell Beckham also is out for the first four games," she said (2:51).
"They don't have a third receiver. They got two guys. Braxton Barrios right now is their third guy. To me, they're in trouble, like you've gotta have more than two receivers until Odell Beckham gets back," she added.

If Beckham returns on time, which is no guarantee, he will be back in time for the team's October 6 trip to New England to take on the Patriots. However, that doesn't take into account whether he will need practice time to knock off the rust, which could add another missed week.

Tua Tagovailoa will be without Odell Beckham Jr. for Week 1's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, the Miami Dolphins may face an even bigger issue at wide receiver, as both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are listed as questionable by ESPN.

Hill is battling a thumb injury and also missed practice because of it. Jaylen Waddle is more of a mystery. The receiver was spotted practicing in a "non-contact jersey," per the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

At this point, the Dolphins could be toying with three of their key receivers either battling injury or missing the game in Week 1. As such, their top receiver on the depth chart not facing any known injury problems is Braxton Berrios, who has yet to log 450 yards in a season.

At this point, fans can only hope that both Hill and Waddle are available in Week 1.

Could Odell Beckham Jr., Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle all miss the season opener?
