NFL analyst gives strange reason for Jalen Hurts' success in the league
Jalen Hurts shut doubters after the Philadelphia Ealges' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just a week before, his fellow teammate had complained about "passing" issues in the team which evolved into an entire conversation that not all was well in the Eagles locker room.
However, after the Steelers game, Jalen Hurts greeted the media with, "So that’s what y’all wanted to see, huh?" He had recorded 290 passing yards which was his second-best this season, and two touchdowns, while recording his second-best pass accuracy of the season at 78.1%.
However, according to NFL analyst Domonique Foxworth, if it were some other QB, one good game would not have been enough to wash off a string of past failures. He attributed this to Jalen Hurts benefitting from "pretty privilege."
"Jalen Hurts is benefiting from pretty privilege. He got up at the press conference after the game, and he acted like he was Josh Allen," Foxworth said on 'Get Up.' "Man, you had one good week passing. And everyone forgets it when he starts batting his eyes at you."
Foxworth also called out his extravagance for wearing an expensive diamond chain to the post-game presser. He compared him to Josh Allen and said that even though he is having a better season and is also in MVP conversations, he's humble and unassuming while attending press conferences.
"Look at this man, with his Kangol, looking like Nino Brown … With three thousand-million-trillion dollars worth of diamonds on his neck."
AJ Brown shuts down rumors of beef with Jalen Hurts once and for all
It all started with AJ Brown's comments and after the Steelers game, it circled back to it. After doing his touchdown celebration with Hurts, Brown, who had a great game with 110 yards and one touchdown, spoke about it.
“That was our moment to tell everybody to shut up. Honestly,” Brown said.
The duo left people in no doubt of their camaraderie on the field. Moreover, Hurts, who had been labeled a "turnover machine" in the past, hasn't thrown an interception in the last five games.
With three more games to go, can the Eagles make it to the playoffs this year as well? And with the Detroit Lions being riddled with injuries, although they are at the top of the NFC, they might just collapse during the playoffs. If the Eagles do make it to the Super Bowl, it will be the second time in three years.
