NFL analyst sounds alarm bells over Aaron Rodgers' latest injury update

Aaron Rodgers hasn't been winning games, but he also hasn't been winning in the health department, either. One year after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury, Rodgers is fighting a series of less disastrous but still painful injuries sustained from playing the game.

Between the viral video of Rodgers seemingly nursing something in practice early this year, an ankle injury, and a new hamstring issue, the list of niggles is on the rise.

Some may argue it was the offensive line or his receivers struggling to get open. NFL analyst Mike Florio believes it is his age. Speaking on an October 24 edition of "Pro Football Talk," analyst Mike Florio summed it up following the latest hamstring injury.

"Jeff Ulbrich a couple of weeks ago when Aaron Rodgers had the ankle injury," Florio said (0:12 onwards). "He mentioned that there was some hamstring involvement as well. There's a knee that keeps swelling up. Rodgers talked about that yesterday. Welcome to 40."

Aaron Rodgers has thrown 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season, has yet to earn a passer rating of 100 or higher against a team with a winning record, and has yet to pass for 300 yards in a game. At 2-5, the Jets have their backs against the wall and their quarterback is injured.

Despite the alleged upgrade from Zach Wilson to Rodgers, the team's record is in a worse spot this year.

At 2-5, the Jets have at least a three-week climb back to .500. However, many believe part of Aaron Rodgers' original reasoning for wanting to go to the Jets was because of his mentor Brett Favre.

Favre played for the Jets in his first stop after leaving the Green Bay Packers. In 2008, Favre went 9-7 and threw for 22 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. While this is technically Aaron Rodgers' second season with the Jets, this is by all accounts his first true season with the team.

At 2-5, Rodgers would need to go 7-2 or better to match Favre's 9-7 mark. Of course, with an extra game, Rodgers has an added chance to get one game above .500, which is basically what 9-7 represents.

Moreover, statistically, Rodgers is on pace to beat Favre's mark of 22 touchdowns and 22 interceptions at 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

That said, if things continue at their pace, Rodgers will have a mixed case at the end of the season of whether he beat Favre's bar with the New York Jets.
