NFL DE Isaac Rochell details rise to TikTok stardom with wife Allison Kuch - “I don’t know if I want to be on the Internet”
NFL defensive end Isaac Rochell has taken a different path to some players in the league. Some like to shy away from social media, and it gives them a sense of calm. For Rochell, however, it was his wife that initially got him started.
Isaac Rochell bounced around the league after being drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017. He hasn't been a steady contributor for any team he has been on, but that's how football goes sometimes. But now, he is rising to fame thanks to his wife. He is now a TikTok sensation as he posts his pre workout routines, what he does at his team's facility, and more.
In a recent interview with the New York Post, Rochell detailed how it all started. It was his wife, who initially started posting about his football life.
Rochell said via the New York Post:
“My wife started posting and I was like, I don’t know if I want to be on the Internet like dancing and doing all of these corny things, so I let her do it."
Rochell continued:
“And then I posted a nighttime routine and it got some intense engagement and then that’s where I started kind of being like, ‘Alright, let me get into this a little bit more.’ We kept leaning into it, kept leaning into it and then now, we’re kind of where we are now.”
Isaac Rochell's career so far
As we know, not every player can have a storied career and be an instant starter. In Isaac Rochell's case, his career has followed a path that happens to hundreds of players every year.
After being drafted in 2017 by the Chargers, Rochell has been on four NFL teams. In his first four years in the league, he was with the Chargers. Then, in 2021, he spent a year in Indianapolis with the Colts.
He then played for two teams in 2022. He started with the Cleveland Browns before finishing the season with the Las Vegas Raiders. In total, Isaac Rochell has played 70 games, but he has started 10 of them. He has one interception and 9.5 sacks throughout his career.
He is currently a free agent and it is not known if he will be signing with another NFL team any time soon. However, at least he has his TikTok account to keep him busy.
