NFL players with the highest earnings per minute played: Tom Brady pushed out of top 10 as Aaron Rodgers rakes in $55,882 a minute
Tom Brady may be the longest tenured player in the NFL, but he doesn't have the most lucrative contract. In a recent article on The Sports Betting Community website, Brady has now dropped out of the top ten for earnings when broken down per minute played.
It could come as a shock as to who is the highest earning NFL player per minute played. New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk has made more per minute played than Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Ramczyk's yearly salary is $38.7 million compared to Rodgers' $57 million, but his 500 minutes on the field are much fewer than Aaron Rodgers'. Thus, his per minute earnings on the field are greater. Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford comes in at third on the list. Then there's Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen in fourth and Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins rounds out the top five.
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper is sixth on the list, making about $43,222 per minute played. New Orleans Saints' Marshon Lattimore's minute-by-minute earnings are next on the list at $42,500. Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt's $36.6 million yearly salary is one of the biggest defensive contracts in the league. He makes $38,125 per minute on the field. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson round out the top ten.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady drops to number 11 on the list. The seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback makes $27,982 per minute played.
What is Tom Brady's net worth?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady may not have the biggest NFL contract, but he sure has made a lot of money throughout his 23 year career. Brady's current net worth is $250 million, despite never being the highest paid player in the National Football League.
The quarterback has always maintained 'team-friendly' NFL contracts in order to keep a winning team around him. However, he has made a lot of money and is earning at a higher rate now than in his previous years in New England.
Even when the future Hall of Fame quarterback decides to officially retire from the NFL, he will continue to make the big bucks. He has already signed a lucrative ten-year broadcast deal with Fox Sports. The contract is said to be worth $375 million and will begin when he officially calls time on his playing career. The quarterback will join the lead broadcast team at FOX, but there has been no word on who will be his sidekick in the booth.
