NFL QB Carousel: Peter King has bold predictions for Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson in 2023

Lamar Jackson, Derek Carr and Aaron Rodgers headline what makes up a very interesting class of available quarterbacks this off-season. It could give way to a very different-looking NFL depending on who goes where.

These quarterbacks are all in pretty high demand, so they could go to any team that's been linked to them.

Peter King believes the quarterback market should begin to take shape sooner rather than later, and he has a few bold predictions on where the biggest names will end up.

He said via ProFootballTalk:

"The QB dominoes should start falling this week. Best guesses from my GM crowd-sourcing: Derek Carr to the Saints, Aaron Rodgers no one knows, truly (but I’m guessing Jets), Lamar Jackson and Daniel Jones franchised, Jimmy Garoppolo being the beneficiary of some QB uncertainty sometime in March. I don’t see the Raiders being in the Aaron Rodgers derby, if there is one."

King predicts that Lamar Jackson and Daniel Jones will get the franchise tag, but that may not be the end of the Jackson saga. He wants guaranteed money, so he's not likely to play under the tag.

Derek Carr has visited with a lot of teams, but the New Orleans Saints remain the most likely location. Aaron Rodgers may end up back with Green Bay or with the New York Jets, but no one knows right now.

Jimmy Garoppolo may be the most interesting name in the mix right now. He's not likely to get as much attention as the other guys, but a team could sign him later than the others as the options get slimmer and slimmer.

Is Lamar Jackson going to stay in Baltimore?

The idea that Lamar Jackson would play under the franchise tag is far-fetched. He wants more money and he wants much of it to be guaranteed. He's already proven himself, so the tag wouldn't do anything for him.

What's next for Jackson?
What's next for Jackson?

He'd likely refuse to play under it and demand a trade or simply sit out for a better deal. If they do decide to tag him, it likely means his future is not with the Ravens, though.
