NFL reporter takes savage dig at Packers legend Brett Favre while comparing him to Bills' Josh Allen
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the NFL. He has an interesting style of play.
Allen has one of the biggest arms in the NFL, is a mobile quarterback, and isn't afraid of lowering his shoulder and making contact for extra yards. Allen, like every player, makes crucial mistakes. Sometimes, they are costly.
BSO Sports podcaster Robert Littal compared Josh Allen to Brett Favre following his recent struggles. Littal simultaneously took a shot at Favre.
Littal tweeted:
"Josh Allen playing a bit like Brett Favre this season (minus stealing the money from the poor people)."
Brett Favre had a similar playing style to Allen's. He was a gunslinging quarterback who would make bone-headed plays from time-to-time.
The comment in the parantheses that Littal made was saying that Allen has been playing similar to Farve, except he isn't stealing money like Favre has been accused of doing.
Despite the jokes and comparisons, Allen has been struggling recently, especially based on his standards.
He's currently second in the league in passing touchdowns (23) and passing yards with 3,183. At the same time, his 10 interceptions are also second in the league behind Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills.
In the last five games, Allen has thrown seven interceptions to just six touchdowns. He had two crucial turnovers in the overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings two weeks ago that ultimately lost them the game.
The Buffalo Bills are back in first place in the AFC East following their Thanksgiving day win over the Detroit Lions
Following their close 28-25 victory over the Detroit Lions, the Bills are back in first-place in the AFC East.
The Bills improved to 8-3 and are half a game ahead of the Miami Dolphins in the division. Miami has a favorable game Sunday versus the Houston Texans. They will be back in first place in the division with a win as they beat the Bills in Week 3, 21-19.
The New York Jets (6-4) and the New England Patriots (6-5) aren't too far behind the Bills and Dolphins as they are in the most competitive division in the NFL, alongside the NFC East.
Buffalo and New England will enjoy this Sunday off as they played on Thanksgiving but await the results of the Dolphins and Jets games' this weekend.
