NFL reporters’ beef brewing? Mike Florio decimates Colin Cowherd as analysts spar over Chargers’ social media stunt

The Los Angeles Chargers made the playoffs this season, and the team's most recent social media post takes a dig at all of the doubters who counted them out this season.

The tweet showed clips from a variety of sports broadcasts that believed the Chargers weren't playoff-bound during their midseason slump. What appeared to be receipts printed to show that the team remembered everyone who doubted them.

ProFootballTalk retweeted the video and said that Los Angeles was just acting insulted that analysts pointed out that they were bad, when they were in fact a bad team. But, that's not where this conversation ends.

"How dare you point out that we were bad, when we were bad." twitter.com/chargers/statu…

FS1's Colin Cowherd also retweeted the Chargers video and captioned it by saying that he thought it was 'well done'. Those on Twitter quickly realized the dueling opinions and tagged ProFootballTalk, which is mostly run by analyst Mike Florio.

Florio's ProFootballTalk account then replied to the tweet and insinuated that Cowherd was just trying to be nice to the Chargers organization so that he could get access to the team and other favors.

@Meeeeeeeep6 Nah he's just kissing their ass for access and other favors.

It appears from this small interaction on Twitter that there is no love loss between Mike Florio and Colin Cowherd, especially where Florio stands. Whether this is something new between both sides or a long-lasting feud is unknown.

Stephen A. Smith makes bold prediction ahead of Chargers vs. Jaguars matchup

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith is known for giving his take on issues across the board. On Wednesday, he made a bold prediction about Los Angeles if the team were to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Wild Card round.

Smith thinks that Los Angeles head coach Brandon Staley will be fired if he can't get his team to defeat the Jags. He said that there is no other option if he can't get a win.

"If the Los Angeles Chargers lose this game to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brandon Staley will be fired. Period. He will deserve it. Period."

Smith said that although he is a young coach and has helped the team to improve their record from 2021 to 2022. But he believes there have been too many times when there have been some questions about his decision-making.

Smith said a lot of those questions surround young quarterback Justin Herbert, who is the future of the franchise. Smith said that with the talent that Los Angeles has, if he can't lead them to a victory over Jacksonville, then he isn't deserving of the position.
