New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Gillikin is loving life in the NFL. Not many people knew who he was until a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.

Gillikin went on to punt in the third quarter and produced an incredible 81-yard effort that got the entire sports world talking. When you do something that incredible, organizations think it's a little fishy and Gillikin was selected for a "random" drug test by the league.

The kicker posted the message he received on his Twitter account and fans were quick to respond. One fan said that the test was deserved, given he booted the football so far.

"@blakegillikin goddamn you booted that b***h, that test was deserved 😂😂."
@blakegillikin goddamn you booted that bitch, that test was deserved 😂😂 twitter.com/blakegillikin/…

Gillikin's punt was a thing of beauty as New Orleans were backed up on their own 15-yard line before he hit his bomb. The kick reached the endzone and resulted in a touch back.

Most fans saw the funny side of it.

@blakegillikin "Random". Why does the NFL even bother with that word. I would respect it more if they said, "Ay yo! That was an 81 yard punt, super human. Come take this drug test." https://t.co/dtLm5FbbJr
@Cajun_Chevalier @blakegillikin I believe it’s random as in they can select whenever to test you and it’s not “scheduled” for the player. Random for the player, not the league lol. So yeah if you do something as sick as an 81 yard punt. They’ll select you lol.
@blakegillikin They're hating on the power of the #Puntgod
@blakegillikin Unfrickin believable. “Random” in NFL lingo means “ No f’ing way your leg is capable of that. Do they drug test kickers who miss 35 yd chipshots?
@blakegillikin Wasn’t just 81 in the books, from boot to bounce it was 80 in the air (7 to opponents 13). Yikes!
@blakegillikin How dare you have to strong of a leg for your job! Unacceptable. 🙄
@blakegillikin The nfl definition of random. Some player makes an unbelievable play that defies their logic. Name goes on the list for drug test

What can we expect from the New Orleans Saints in 2022-23?

New Orleans could be one of the surprise teams of the NFL season. While many still firmly believe that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady will win the NFC South, don't sleep on New Orleans just yet.

They boasted a superb defense led by Cameron Jordan and Marshon Lattimore in previous seasons and got even stronger over the offseason by adding Chiefs superstar Tyrann Mathieu.

But let's not forget who the team got back in the offseason. Before his injury, Michael Thomas was regarded as one of the best receivers in football. He comes back to an offense that already includes Taysom Hill, free agent Jarvis Landry and first-round pick Chris Olave. In the backfield, they have running backs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram Jr. for Jameis Winston to target.

They will also be buoyed by the fact that they have the edge over Brady's Buccaneers. The Saints have lost just one of their last five games against the Bucs and won their most recent meeting last December 9-0.

The division might not be as one-sided as many think and New Orleans could be a contender in 2022.
