NFL teams unite for incredible gesture for Damar Hamlin on social media
The NFL world is united in its support and prayers for Damar Hamlin as he continues to fight for his life. The Buffalo Bills safety suffered a cardiac arrest during his team's Monday Night Football clash against the Cincinnati Bengals.
To show their support for Hamlin, all 32 NFL teams have changed their Twitter profile picture to the Bills' safety jersey with a message on top reading:
"Pray for Damar"
Damar Hamlin continues to fight for life
Earlier today, Damar Hamlin's family released a statement thanking fans for their incredible outpouring of love and support. It read:
"On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time. We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, and donations from fans around the country. We also want to acknowledge the dedicated first responders and healthcare professionals at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center who have provided exceptional care to Damar."
Hamlin's family also thanked the Bills and Bengals for their support:
"We feel so blessed to be part of the Buffalo Bills organization and to have their support. We also want to thank Coach Taylor and the Bengals for everything they've done. Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us. Please keep Damar in your prayers. We will release updates as soon as we have them."
Hamlin remains in intensive care and continues to fight for his life. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Sportskeeda are with the Bills star and his family.
