Nick Foles' wife Tori Moore pens down emotional note as Eagles star bids goodbye to NFL

Philadelphia Eagles star Nick Foles has officially retired from the NFL. The quarterback announced his farewell from the league on Thursday with a post on X. Foles attached a video in the tweet in which he could be seen breaking the emotional news to the fans.

Foles' retirement was an emotional moment for not just Eagles fans but his family too. The quarterback's wife, Tori Moore, penned down a heartwarming note on Instagram as the quarterback bid goodbye to the Eagles. Sharing his best wishes for Foles, Moore wrote:

"The kids and I are so proud of you, @nickfoles, and we are humbled to have been a part of your journey. You gave us experiences with memories that will last a lifetime. From my view, what’s most remarkable about your career is how every season of triumph was followed by one that was difficult."

Even though Nick Foles announced retirement from the league, the quarterback will be present in the Eagles home-opener game against the Atlanta Falcons on September 16.

On the same day, the Eagles will be officially retiring the quarterback through a dedicated ceremony.

What did Nick Foles say in the retirement video?

The Super Bowl LII winner Nick Foles shared an emotional video on X, announcing his retirement from the NFL after 11 seasons. In the video, Foles credits Eagles fans and the franchise for a great time in his career. In the caption, the quarterback wrote:

"After much thought and prayer, I've decided to retire from the NFL. It's been an incredible 11-year journey filled with unforgettable moments and amazing people. From being drafted by the Eagles to winning the Super Bowl, every step has been a blessing."
"I'm excited to spend more time with my family and embrace the next chapter of my life. Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, team staff, and fans for your unwavering support. I am forever grateful," Nick Foles concluded.

Nick Foles was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft as the 88th overall pick.

The quarterback stayed with the Eagles from 2012 to 2014 before joining the Rams in 2015.

The Chiefs drafted Foles in 2016, but the Eagles once again retained him in 2017. The quarterback will now be enjoying retirement after spending 11 seasons in the league.
