Nikki Glaser compares Tom Brady's Netflix roast fame to Travis Kelce's girlfriend Taylor Swift

Comedian Nikki Glaser believes she became as popular as Travis Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, after her appearance at "The Roast of Tom Brady" on May 5 this year.

“I felt like Taylor Swift for a couple of days. I felt that level [of fame],” Glaser shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday while speaking about the Netflix special, which aired on May 5.

It happened after Bikki's razor-sharp roast of the seven-time Super Bowl champion catapulted her career. During the roast, she targeted Brady's personal life, including his divorce from his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, and the loss of $30 million in cryptocurrency. As a result, almost overnight, she went viral on the internet.

“It was a life-changing performance," the comedian added. "One of those things that you’re sort of like, you just never think it’s gonna happen but everything changes after. The next day, I was in line places and seeing my face on people’s phones."

Not just the crazy fandom, the "Roast of Tom Brady" also helped Nikki Glaser land a big gig at the upcoming 2025 Golden Globes.

While Glaser's career reached new heights, Tom Brady's personal life bore the brunt of Nikki Glaser's jokes. As per TB12's interview on "The Pivot Podcast," he said he took the jokes on him quite sportingly. However, he was upset when it hampered his children.

"I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,” he elaborated. “I didn’t like the way that affected my kids. So it’s the hardest part about, like, the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way, and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that affected, actually, the people that I care about most in the world.”

The NFL legend shares two kids with Gisele: Benjamin Rein Brady and Vivian Lake Brady.

Despite Tom Brady's regret about how the dark humor affected his son and daughter, Nikki Glaser stood by her performance.

In an interview on Fresh Air in July 2024, Nikki explained that TB12 had consented to the roast. It meant that she had complete creative freedom with her material.

“He said yes to it, it’s kind of like, unless you tell me things are off limits, I’m going to go there. I have license. I have your consent. … I can’t believe the places my mind will go to.” Glaser said.

Moreover, during an earlier appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna, Nikki suggested that she "understands that" Tom Brady did not anticipate the consequences of participating in the Netflix Special.
