Odell Beckham Jr. to Cowboys makes 'complete sense,' Nick Wright claims, with Jerry Jones publicly backing move
Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been the subject of interest for many teams in the NFL this season. The newest potential suitor for the services of star receiver is the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys are reportedly heavily interested in bringing OBJ to Dallas and it seems like they are ready to offer him a lucrative offer. With Dallas being in the Super Bowl hunt this season, they could well land the former Rams receiver.
Wright also believes that OBJ and the Dallas Cowboys will be a good fit and he could see this move happening soon. Here's what he said:
"Oh, I think it absolutely could work. I want to describe a team for you all right, okay dominant defense with a Defensive Player of the Year caliber front seven guy and some a an All Pro caliber corner."
Wright added:
"Head coach that has been to a Super Bowl but not necessarily considered it proven at the time, and a quarterback with a lot of gaudy numbers, but no postseason success that describes this year's Cowboys. It also describes last year's rams. So why could OBJ not do for the Cowboys?"
He continued:
"What he did for the Rams be one final piece to a team that has a Super Bowl-caliber defense with a good but I would say unproven quarterback... I think emotionally, there are teams like the team, like the giants that I'd like to see him with. And really well, emotionally. I like it. I like Odell going back there."
Dallas Cowboys defensive starlet Micah Parsons has already started recruiting OBJ for Dallas on Twitter, and the receiver didn't rule out a move.
OBJ's parents are Cowboys fans and we could see the former New York Giants receiver signing with his former rivals in the hunt for another Super Bowl.
Odell Beckham Jr. news: Star WR reveals four possible destinations with contenders circling
Earlier this week, the superstar WR revealed the four teams he would be interested in signing for once he is cleared to play. The four teams are:
- Buffalo Bills
- Dallas Cowboys
- Green Bay Packers
- New York Giants
Although these are the four teams that are listed as destinations, he hasn't ruled out a move to the Kansas City Chiefs either.
Nobody knows where the star receiver will sign, but it is certain that his presence will make the team a Super Bowl contender this season.
