Ohio State star OT Paris Johnson outlines three teams he’d want to play for ahead of 2023 NFL Draft
Ohio State offensive tackle Paris Johnson has his wishlist for the 2023 NFL Draft. For most draft hopefuls, as long as they are selected by a team, it really doesn't matter where they end up.
The 6'6', 315lb offensive tackle, who is predicted to eventually become a starter in the league by NFL.com, was recently on the "Bussin With The Boys" podcast
He talked of where he might like to be drafted came up. Johnson was asked about the top three teams he would like to play for.
Johnson said:
"Well, for me personally, I feel like the first thing I look at is like taxes... Titan. I feel that'd be cool. No state taxes there. Yeah. Warm. I'm from Cincinnati. So fair. The weather is important to me. Miami would be cool.
“I would. I would [play guard]. It doesn't matter. I think especially in the guard world, you know the three-point stance. Yeah, you can be either one. I would say realistically who needs a tackle. I would say Chicago I would also say the Falcons. Being Atlanta too."
At the end of the day, while Paris Johnson has listed the three teams he would most like to play for, we imagine that he will be happy to be drafted anywhere. Simply put, not many get the chance to play NFL football, and Johnson has a chance to do just that.
Where will Paris Johnson get drafted?
Much of the NFL draft talk has been centered around quarterbacks and wide receivers. The likes of Will Levis, Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and others have dominated the media landscape.
But when it comes to offensive linemen, Johnson is one of the standouts. Per CBS Sports.com, the Ohio State Buckeye is ranked as the 14th best prospect and is the best tackle in the draft class.
We can safely assume that he will be taken in the first round, but just where remains a mystery. Several teams have offensive line needs and Paris Johnson would certainly fit the bill.
While he stated the teams he would like to play for, just hearing his name called on the opening night of the NFL Draft will surely be a dream come true, regardless of which team selects him.
