"Only loving you more": Davante Adams pens sweet note for wife Devanne Villarreal's birthday
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams penned an emotional text for his wife, Devanne Villarreal, on her birthday. Adams posted a series of pictures featuring his wife and their kids.
Along with the snaps, Adams wrote an emotional caption wishing Villarreal a happy birthday, calling her his "best friend" and reflecting on their over-a-decade-long journey together.
"Happy Birthday to my best friend. 12 years together, 6 1/2 years of marriage, and 3 kids later…only loving you more 😘 " Adams wrote in the caption of IG post.
Some of the snaps featured Villarreal posing with their kids, while others were solo pictures.
Davante Adams and his wife, Devanne Villarreal, have been together since 2012. Their love story began when they met in college at Fresno State University.
After dating for five years, Adams proposed to her in a romantic setting in the Bahamas, surrounded by a picturesque beach. On July 6, 2017, Devanne posted pictures of the proposal on her Instagram account.
"Thought we were just doing a casual photo shoot.. little did I know he had a bigger plan❤️ Davante thought out the most perfect, creative, heart felt, breathtaking proposal💍 Still can't believe it👰🏻 #ISaidYES," she captioned the post.
A year later, in 2018, the couple tied the knot. They have since welcomed three children. Their first daughter, Daija Leigh, was born in September 2019. Three years later, in 2022, they welcomed their second daughter, Dezi Lynn. In 2024, the couple was blessed with their third child.

Devanne wore an elegant white top for her birthday paired with a cream-colored blazer and jeans. She accessorized with a navy blue purse and transparent heels. Meanwhile, Adams complemented her look in a white T-shirt with a matching jacket and pants.
Last month, Villarreal posted a family picture while celebrating Christmas. She and her kids wore matching red checkered outfits, while Adams wore matching pants paired with a white T-shirt.
