"Oscars could be an OnlyFans event" - Russell Wilson's wife Ciara's bold outfit draws criticism from fans
When Ciara and Russell Wilson arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday evening, heads turned. Everyone was stunned by the dress that the singer wore to the party.
Not only did it have a plunging neckline and a low back, it was also a see-through dress that left nothing to the imagination. She paired the dress, which was a part of the Dundas’ Fall/Winter 2023 RTW collection, with black velvet gloves and strapped heels by Santoni.
Ciara posted a collage of photos of the dress taken before and during the Vanity Fair party. While many on social media have been quick to judge the singer's choice of dress, others have said that if it's what she wants to wear then nobody should have a problem with it.
Her husband Russell Wilson didn't appear to mind the dress that she chose as he was seen just watching her from afar during their entrance into the party. That still didn't stop some on social media from stating their belief that he wasn't a fan of the dress.
One Twitter user posted that it's clear that she doesn't care about the possible backlash about the dress. Another Twitter user went as far as to say that the Oscars have now turned into an OnlyFans event. For those too innocent to know, OnlyFans is an online platform where adult content is uploaded for subscribers.
Was Ciara just following the theme of Vanity Fair party?
While singer Ciara has received backlash about the dress she wore to the Vanity Fair Oscars party, she wasn't the only one who donned a sheer dress. And, there was a reason for that.
It appeared that the theme of the night was 'barely there'. Actresses, singers, and others in the entertainment industry rocked some of the most daring looks as they entered the event.
While many are unsure whether it was a designated theme that was chosen by Vanity Fair or not, the singer was just one of many who chose a daring dress.
Fashion magazine Marie Claire even went on to essentially clarify that it appeared that dresses that were more revealing were the better option for the event. As for the men in attendance though, they all seemed to wear classic suits and ties.
