"He might be misunderstood": Packers QB Jordan Love opens up about Aaron Rodgers as a teammate
The Jordan Love-Aaron Rodgers dynamic was a front-page story for the Green Bay Packers for several years. During that time, aside from wondering if they were going to win the Super Bowl, the transition was the second biggest question on fans' minds.
Now heading into his second season without his mentor, Jordan Love opened up about his relationship with Rodgers in an interview with Dianna Russini of the "Scoop City" podcast. Love drew a stark contrast to public opinion concerning Rodgers.
" [30:50] I think he's awesome. First of all, he's a very hard worker. He demands a lot of his teammates, but at the same time, he likes to have fun. We have a lot of great times at the facility. He's always joking, having fun with the guys. He's just one of the guys," Love said.
"He definitely might be misunderstood. In the media, people say a lot of different things, but people don't know [everything]."
Aaron Rodgers and Love were teammates from 2020 to 2022. During that time, Love slowly became a stronger part of the organization while Rodgers slowly declined.
When Love was drafted in 2020, Aaron Rodgers threw for 48 touchdowns and five interceptions that season. Love wasn't even featured on the game-day depth charts; however, Love was given some play time in 2022 in relief of Rodgers as the Packers proceeded to miss the playoffs.

The former quarterback of the Green Bay Packers congratulated Jordan Love on his new massive deal by attempting to sell him his former home.
On July 27, NFL media posted on X that Rodgers told Love that he should consider buying it. It could be considered somewhat of a joke from Rodgers, but if Love were to bite, why would he decline?
“I want to give a shout-out to Jordan Love becoming the highest paid player in the NFL. Jordan Love don't spend it all in one place. But if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay that's up for sale.”
With Rodgers gone for more than a full year, it is interesting why he hasn't sold his house by now. Russell Wilson sold his mansion in the same offseason that he left Denver. This potentially indicates that Rodgers genuinely had a difficult time fully leaving Green Bay behind.
