Packers star Jordan Love opens up about relationship timeline with fiancée Ronika Stone

Two months after proposing to fiancée Ronika Stone, Green Bay Packers star Jordan Love opened up about his dating backstory. On Wednesday, the quarterback was interviewed by Maria Taylor at NFL on NBC, and he revealed some major details about his romance with Stone.

The quarterback said that he came across Stone through a high school friend, who was also his fiancée's best friend back then. Initially, the couple used to exchange greetings while she FaceTimed her best friend. Getting into the details of the same, Love said:

"My roommate in college, Mill Walker, they went to high school together and they were best friends. So he would FaceTime her when we were in college, and I'd be in the background, and he'd be like, 'Yo say what's up my boy right here'. It started off slow. Just saying 'What's up'. And then you know, I started taking the phone."

"And we'd be having our little one-on-one conversations. We never met. It just be on FaceTime. I was in California training, and she was there for her birthday, visiting her friends. And saw she posted something, and he was like, 'Yo, Ronica's in Cali. You got to hit her up'. So I did, and we linked up, and literally, the rest is history," Jordan Love concluded. (10:41)

Jordan Love and Ronika Stone exchanged rings in June during a dreamy vacation to Italy. Later, the couple broke the engagement news to their followers with a joint Instagram post. Following the engagement, the quarterback shared a quick sneak peek into their Rome vacation.

The following month after his wedding proposal, Jordan Love signed a whopping $220 million contract extension with the Green Bay Packers. During an interview with Scoop City in August, the quarterback revealed how his multi-million contract raised the budget for the upcoming wedding.

"It does. It goes up," Love said.

Being an athlete herself, Ronika Stone has been highly supportive of Jordan Love's sporting career. When the quarterback made it into the list of the NFL's top 100 players, she didn't hold back in hyping him up.

As for Jordan Love, he's looking forward to the Packers' first 2024 regular season game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
