According to the Carolina Panthers, Andy Dalton and his family were driving on Sardis Road in Charlotte, along with their dog, when their car crashed. Following the crash, Panthers reported that the emergency medical personnel didn't transport the Daltons to the hospital.

Andy Dalton needs "little time" before getting back on the field

On Wednesday, NFL reporter Josh Alper from ProFootballTalk shared major details on Andy Dalton's comeback in the Panthers following the crash. According to the publication, the quarterback made an appearance during the Panthers‘ practice session on Wednesday.

However, Andy Dalton was standing on the sidelines, watching the players go through the drills. Alper explained how Dalton didn't face any major season-ending injuries, however, he would need "a little time to rest" before getting back on the field.

With Andy Dalton's absence, Bryce Young is mostly likely to fill his shoes in the team as the starting quarterback in the upcoming Week 8 game against the Denver Broncos. However, it’s just a possibility that could change depending on the official injury report from the Panthers.
