Pat McAfee names the NFL team he believes will win sweepstakes for Tom Brady's signature in 2023 free agency

NFL fans have been speculating for months about which team Tom Brady might lead in the upcoming season. With his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers running out at the end of the current campaign, the quarterback will officially hit free agency once again.

It's unlikely the Buccaneers will re-sign Brady as he enters his late 40s, but some teams are certainly still interested in making a move for the QB. While many names have been thrown around, one seems to have garnered more attention than the others.

Former NFL punter Pat McAfee added fuel to the fire by announcing on The Pat McAfee Show that he thinks the Las Vegas Raiders will be the next team for Brady.

Tom Brady is about to be a free agent...

Many fans are excited about the possibility of the seven-time Super Bowl champion joining the Raiders. His leadership and experience will be valuable assets for what has become a rather dysfunctional franchise over the years. McAfee also feels that this move is certainly one in the making:

"Tom Brady’s about to be a free agent... He's going to Las Vegas next year. Is that what everybody’s just assuming? The dead cap for Derek Carr if he gets cut by the Las Vegas Raiders is $5 million... I think the writing is on the wall."

The Raiders have Derek Carr and TB12 has a multi-million dollar broadcasting deal lined up with FOX for when he retires. But when it comes to the seven-time Super Bowl champ, one can never quite rule out anything.

Dana White revealed he almost convinced Tom Brady to join the Raiders

While appearing on UFC 278 with The Gronks, UFC president Dana White revealed that he had allegedly pestered Tom Brady just after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were dumped out of the playoffs by the Los Angeles Rams last season:

"I was hammering him to come to Vegas. I was firing texts to him and he sent very cryptic text messages. He had me thinking he wasn't going to retire. So, you know what I was doing? I was hammering him to come to Vegas and play for the Raiders."

White even claimed that he helped negotiate a deal between the AFC franchise and TB12, but head coach Jon Gruden backed out at the last second. Whether or not this is true remains unconfirmed.

A move to Sin City would surely make headlines regardless of the impact it actually has on the franchise's chances of making it back to the Super Bowl.
