Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs dealt huge blow ahead of Super Bowl as star WR out injured

The Kansas City Chiefs have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their Super Bowl LVII matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 12. One of Patrick Mahomes' key offensive weapons, wide receiver Mecole Hardman was officially placed on injury reserve thus ending his season.

The wideout missed practice every day this past week after suffering a pelvis injury during his team's AFC Championship win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Chiefs will have other worries on their minds as well as JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Kadarius Toney (ankle/hamstring), too are currently listed as "questionable" for the Super Bowl set to be held in Arizona this Sunday.

Mahomes himself has been nursing a sprained ankle which he suffered during the Chiefs' playoff tie against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
