Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow headline list of NFL players set to grace EA Sports' College Football 25: Report

Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow didn’t get to feature in EA Sports’ college football game while they were in college. However, times have changed and several NFL superstars are set to be a part of EA’s latest offering of College Football 25.

After 11 years, EA Sports is bringing back its beloved game mode, ‘Ultimate Team’, for CFB 25. And within this mode, gamers will have access to several NFL superstars, including the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes.

According to EA Sports’ website, these players will be a part of the online mode due to an agreement the videogame publisher reached with the NFL Players Association. As per the statement, NFL players that will be available are:

“Patrick Mahomes, Davante Adams, Christian McCaffrey, Josh Allen, Ceedee Lamb, Stefon Diggs, Joe Burrow and many more who can join your squad!”

As per USA Today CJ Stroud, Sauce Gardner and Puka Nacua will also be a part of this mode. The game will also include legends of the past who have retired along with an alumni pack, which will feature stars who were drafted earlier this year.

All the NFL players, past or present, will be donning their college jerseys and not their franchises'.

EA Sports is yet to declare the complete list of pros that will be a part of the game. However, this is the first year that college athletes will receive a payment for their names and likeness to be used in the game.

Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow are faces of football

Even though this year’s Madden 25 will be graced by Christian McCaffrey, Patrick Mahomes was on the cover of Madden 20.

Initially, there were reports that Joe Burrow would be on the cover of Madden, but that did not turn out to be true. The Cincinnati Bengals shot caller has never graced the cover of Madden.

Now both men will have a coveted spot being the faces of CFB 25’s ‘Ultimate Team’. EA Sports will release CFB 25 on July 19 while Madden 25 is set to drop on August 19.
