Patrick Mahomes’ mom highlights experience of finally meeting Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's "love story" with the Kansas City Chiefs, and more specifically Travis Kelce, seems to have no end in sight.

On Sunday, the pop star was seen among the fans at Arrowhead cheering on the defending Super Bowl champions as they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 31-17. She was joined by Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany and his family: mother Randi, Brother Jackson, and half-sisters Mia and Zoe.

And on Monday, Randi posted an Instagram Story about finally meeting Swift in person (she had once posed with her wax statue):

Meanwhile, Brittany posted a series of images with her children Sterling Skye and Patrick Lavon III aka Bronze:

Of course, none of that joy from Taylor Swift and company would have been as sweet had the Chiefs lost. But fortunately, Patrick Mahomes was up to the task.

The star quarterback had a commanding performance, throwing four touchdowns against just one interception. One of them went to tight end Travis Kelce, which put the pairing just two scores shy of the all-time record for a QB-TE duo, which is currently held by former New Orleans Saints Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham.

But Mahomes was quick to attribute his production to the offensive line, which allowed just a single sack - from Kenneth Murray Jr., not either of Pro Bowlers Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, as was expected. During the presser, he said:

“Yeah, I mean, they were great, they were great in pass protection. I said it seven times to them in the locker room... They kept me clean and a lot of pockets, whenever I was going one, two, three, back to one type, reads, and so they played their tail off they battled and then the second half they found a way just to grind out yards in the run game. That’s a great defensive front, and I thought the offensive line accepted the challenge and played a great game.”

By contrast, the KC defense notched five sacks and two interceptions on Justin Herbert.
