Patrick Mahomes' mom Randi rallies behind Simone Biles in a moving social media post

Simone Biles continues to make more history. On Saturday, she won her third gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics by defeating Rebeca Andrade and Jade Caret in the women's vault.

The feat continues her historic rebound from her much-publicized battle with mental health, aka "the twisties", which caused her to withdraw from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

It was a struggle that Patrick Mahomes' mother Randi harkened to in an Instagram Story:

"Let Simone Biles be proof that mental health matters and taking time to take care of it makes you better, not weaker."

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens wants to start a family in the future

The story of Simone Biles' relationship with Jonathan Owens is one that has been widely covered by the media - from their initial engagement in 2022 to their wedding a year later.

The support each has shared towards the other has been reciprocal. She attended games at Lambeau Field when he was a Green Bay Packer, and he received special permission from the Chicago Bears, his current team, to skip practices to watch her perform at the Paris Olympics.

And it has led to more gestures of support for each other, with Owens even wearing Biles' gold medal and saying in an Instagram Story:

“Witnessing history every time you step on the mat. Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful I was there to see it.”

In response to the ensuing outrage, the gymnast went to TikTok to respond:

"Crazy thing is, I put my medal on every single one of my family members and took pictures. so don't ever make assumptions. like y'all are so f**king miserable. leave us alone."

But one question still beckons: will the two eventually begin a family? When? And how large will it be?

Biles had said in an Instagram Q&A:

“Yes, we want kids. I would say 2 & Jonathan would say 3 is the perfect number. I don’t want to be outnumbered lol.”

And in an appearance on "The Pivot Podcast," co-host Channing Crowder said:

“Boy, y’all need to make some babies, boy. Y’all need to make about 11 babies.”

But Owens responded:

“I got to let my baby handle herself first.”

Biles’ family, including her parents, are also at the Paris Olympics. Her parents, Ron and Nellie also attended the Opening Ceremony on July 26.
