Patrick Mahomes' mother Randi drops an adorable throwback photo ahead of Super Bowl LVII

Patrick Mahomes is gearing up to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona this weekend. For the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, it all started at Whitehouse High School in Texas. His mother, Randi Mahomes, shared a precious throwback photo with her son from his high school days.

The two-time NFL All-Pro played 37 games over two seasons for his high school. He threw for 8,458 yards, 96 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions over that period. From there, the young quarterback went on to play college football at Texas Tech. Mahomes played three seasons with the Red Raiders, finishing third in school history in passing yards (11,252) and touchdowns (93).

He was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 Draft. Patrick Mahomes started just one game as a rookie before getting the full-time job the following season. The superstar quarterback won his first NFL MVP award in his first season as a starter in 2018, leading the league with 50 touchdowns while throwing for 5,097 yards.

Fast forward to Super Bowl LVII, Randi will be in attendance in Glendale along with her youngest son Jackson Mahomes. The Chiefs quarterback's younger brother shared images of himself on his way to watch his brother play in the big game.

The 27-year-old quarterback is set to make his third Super Bowl appearance in four years, after leading the Chiefs to the main event in 2020 and 2021.


Patrick Mahomes and his efforts in his two other Super Bowl appearances

The 2018 AP Offensive Player of the Year made his Super Bowl debut in the 2019 season in Super Bowl LIV versus the San Francisco 49ers. Mahomes threw for 286 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the 31 - 20 victory. He was also the game's MVP, the youngest quarterback in Super Bowl history to win the award.

His second appearance came against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This time, he and the Chiefs lost to the Buccaneers in the 2020 season in Super Bowl LV.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 270 yards and two interceptions in the game. The 27-year-old will be looking for his second Super Bowl win and his mom will be there as she always has throughout his football journey.
