Patrick Mahomes' mother Randi watches Chiefs' Sunday game with sick father: "Prayers please"
Patrick Mahomes' mother, Randi, wasn't present in the stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs' 17-10 win against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The team improved to 4-0 on the season, ready to tackle tough matchups as the season gains momentum.
Randi, who is usually at her son's side to cheer him on, was with her sick father. Her daughter Mia accompanied her.
The three were watching the Chiefs-Chargers Week 4 clash on TV.
"Watching game with daddy today… prayers please for my dad," Randi Mahomes wrote in her caption.
Randi didn't reveal the nature of the sickness or any further health update.
In April 2023, Randi Mahomes lost her mother (Mahomes' grandmother), Debbie Bates Martin. She remembered her mother when Mahomes made the Times 100 list, confident that her mother would be beyond proud of her successful grandson.
"Momma would be so proud & calling everybody in her contacts. I'm proud of you @patrickmahomes," she wrote.
Patrick Mahomes' mother, Randi, continues to support Chiefs QB's choices
Ever since he started playing football, Randi Mahomes has been a support system for her son. This includes everything from his high school to his NFL career, however long it might be.
In an appearance on 'The Mom Game' podcast, Randi spoke about her son's career and how proud she is of his choices.
“I hear him, you know, make comments like, 'If the game takes away from my kids, I might not play as long as Tom Brady' and I'm like I'm so proud of him for that," she said. [24:32 mark]
She even touched upon the hate she received, unable to understand why someone would hate her and her three children: Patrick, Jackson and Mia.
"I would look and someone would give me so much hate to me and to my children all three of them and I'm like I would look at their social media and I would be like this is a beautiful All-American family," Randi said. [43:50].
Though unable to attend all games for the Chiefs, Randi Mahomes will certainly be back in the suits as the 2024 NFL season picks up.
