Patrick Mahomes' mother sends out prayers after tragic Nashville shooting

Patrick Mahomes' mother, Randi, reached out after the Nashville shooting on Twitter.

Earlier this week, the world mourned the loss of six lives in a tragic school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident took place on Monday, right after 10:00 AM. Out of the six victims, three were children, completing one full week of classes before their Easter break.

Leaving everyone devastated, people reached out to speak more about the country's gun laws and the actual lives lost. Randi, who is active on social media, made sure to send out prayers for the victims and everyone affected.

Randi tweeted:

"Prayers lifted"

Her tweet was in response to free agent Tim Tebow, who spoke about being heartbroken about the event:

"Heartbroken to hear about The Covenant School shooting in Nashville. Please join me in praying for those who lost their lives and for the children, parents, families and friends affected".

The incident gave rise to a wave of debate, people also commented on gun laws.

@tootgail Please join us in doing something useful like banning assault rifles. You know, something that would actually help.

Though a few people prayed with Randi, a few users asked them to try and help in another way. One user wrote:

In an Instagram story, she wrote:

"As a mom, my child will NOT be attending school until I know they will protect her how I do in my own home. The political bs and propaganda needs to end. Words do nothing. Criminals and the mentally unstable do not care. We need action. On a NATIONAL level so every criminal KNOWS school zones are protected and these children are SAFE!"

Bush revealed that her children are homeschooled, and how people affected should speak and express their views on the matter. Derrick Henry, who is currently with the Tennessee Titans, also tweeted after hearing of the shooting:

I am heartbroken and sick over the lives lost today at Covenant School. I’m praying for comfort and peace for all those affected in our community πŸ™πŸΎβ™₯️
