Patrick Mahomes names one aspect where he won’t follow Tom Brady in retirement

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is on his way to becoming one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, threatening Tom Brady for that title. At 28, Mahomes has accomplished a lot in the NFL, having won three Super Bowls, three Super Bowl MVPs and two league MVPs.

While he's chasing Brady's legendary career, there is one area where he won't tread. Appearing on comedian Rob Riggle's YouTube channel, "Riggle's Picks," Mahomes was asked if there's a price for him to get in the ring with Mike Tyson. He quickly turned the idea down, stating that it's something he would never consider, along with taking part in a roast, as Brady did back in May.

In his own words:

"There's zero price for me to get in the ring with Mike Tyson. I've never been a big fighter, in general. If it's life or death, I'll defend myself, but I usually let the big guys do it. So it's definitely not something that I'm looking to do after I'm done with my career. And the roast. I'm not doing a roast." [Time stamp - 30:01]

Brady's roast, titled, "The Greatest Roast of All-Time," was one of Netflix's most-watched shows, but it came with its share of pitfalls.

While roasts are meant to be deep, personal and funny, they often have low-blows and sensitive jokes that the participant must stomach, which Tom Brady did. During Brady's roast, people made jokes about his NFL career, specifically Deflategate and his exit from the New England Patriots, as well as some family-related jokes.

Just a few days later, Brady said:

"So it's the hardest part; the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and all of a sudden you realize 'I wouldn't do that again' because of the way it affected, actually, the people I care about the most in the world."

He further talked about how the experience has made him a better parent, and he only did the roast since executive producer Jeff Ross had become someone he knew. However, he was happy about the fun that people present at the roast had, which included his former teammates, such as Drew Bledsoe. Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss, Matt Light and Peyton Manning.
