Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany Mahomes continues to fight back after a recent incident on social media. Instagram users reportedly noticed that the Kansas City Current co-owner liked a post from Donald Trump's campaign.
On Monday evening, Brittany re-shared a post on her Instagram story that spoke about loving and caring about people despite their differences of opinion.
"Contrary to the tone of the world today... You can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind." -said the post by Shane Pruitt
She added her own caption: "Read that Again!"
While she didn't specifically state that the post was regarding the recent criticism she has received about her reportedly 'liking' the post on Instagram, some believe it could be targeted at those who have been sending backlash her way.
Brittany Mahomes addressed 'haters' after social media controversy
Social media was abuzz last week after users noticed Brittany Mahomes had liked a post by Donald Trump which is his platform should he be elected again. Many fans and followers didn't agree with her liking a post that included mass deportations and cutting the budget on critical race theory.
Brittany took to her Instagram Story and said that "haters'" who are adults have issues from their childhood that they haven't dealt with. She also said that people shouldn't hate others who are doing well with their lives.
“I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.” - Brittany Mahomes on Instagram
Patrick Mahomes has not addressed the controversy surrounding his wife and her social media activity.
