Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany gives cute 2-word shoutout to QB after Chiefs' win over Texans
Brittany Mahomes reposted her husband Patrick Mahomes' electrifying entrance onto the field ahead of Saturday's Chiefs vs. Texans clash. She captioned the Instagram story, writing:
"My dawggggg😎"
Brittany, who is expecting her third child with Patrick, was also present at Arrowhead with her two children to witness the win.
"Feeling that Win a little extra today.👏🏼👏🏼 15 we are proud of you🥹❤️," the NFL star's wife later wrote on Instagram alongside pictures from the game.
Patrick left a string of hearts in the comment section, which received 215 likes.
In the Week 16 game, Patrick Mahomes, despite putting up with an ankle injury last week, led the Chiefs with 260 passing yards and a TD. He capped off their opening drive with a 15-yard TD scramble.
"I feel like if I'm going to ask them to play through pain and nicks and bruises, I've got to do it as well,” Mahomes said (via ESPN). “That's something that I pride myself on, is being out there with my guys.”
With a 14-1 record, the Chiefs are closer to clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.
Andy Reid calls Patrick Mahomes' performance "tough"
Speaking of Patrick Mahomes' recovery, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said the QB continues to surpass expectations week after week.
“He spoils the dog out of us, he's so tough,” Reid said.
Referring to the two-time MVP's ability to bounce back from injuries, he further noted:
“You get used to it. But most guys don't come back from that like he did.”
