Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany gushes over QB's adorable moment with daughter Sterling

The NFL's regular season starts next week, and Patrick Mahomes is preparing for the Chiefs' season opener game against the Baltimore Ravens. In between his tight schedule, whenever the quarterback gets time, he enjoys spending it with family, especially his kids.

On Thursday, Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany shared an Instagram story capturing an adorable father-child moment between Chiefs quarterback and daughter Sterling. In the snapshot, Mahomes can be seen reading to his daughter while the two relax on the couch.

"My heart," Brittany said in the caption.

Brittany's Instagram story came less than a day after her podcast episode with Whoop, where she revealed some less-known details about her relationship with Patrick Mahomes.

Recalling the quarterback's first Valentine's Day proposal, in a segment of the podcast, Brittany said he acted "corny."

"We were friends for a really long time, obviously, and he was trying to date me," Brittany said. "I was staying in my Lane, being my own thing, doing my own thing, and he one day at lunch, cuz we sat at the same lunch table every day, was trying to be corny, I guess, you could say. And wrote me a Valentine's letter and brought me a rose and it was so cute." (4:04)
"I thought it was the cutest thing in the world, and he was just doing it to be sarcastic. And so I really liked that he had attempted to do something super sweet, and I think from there we just kind of started talking and then started dating," Brittany added.

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany have been together for almost a decade, and they have helped each other grow over time.

Patrick Mahomes helped wife Brittany become more-confident with her individuality

In the Whoop podcast, the host asked Brittany about any advice from Patrick Mahomes that helped her over the years. Recalling the quarterback's one specific advice that changed her life for good, the Sports Illustrated model said:

"The main thing that you know he always told me is 'stop caring about what people think, especially the people that don't even know you.' And so I think social media used to get to me a lot, and now I don't give a fu*k what people have to say about me anymore." (6:05)
"I think he's helped me get to that point where I'm strong in who I am. I'm confident in who I am. I'm confident in mine and his relationship. And I'm confident in our life. So why does what other people say have to matter at all," Brittany added.

As the Chiefs enter the 2024 season, the franchise has huge expectations from fans, considering the two consecutive Super Bowl wins. Even if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl next year, Patrick Mahomes' father might not be there to cheer his son.

The former MLB star pleaded guilty to a third DWI charge, with his sentence starting next month.
