Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany has her say after family foundation donates $1,077,000 to Kansas City charities
Earlier this week on Monday, Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany hosted their fifth annual "15th and the Mahomies Foundation" gala in Kansas City, Missouri. The power couple walked the red carpet together, with Brittany sharing snaps through her personal Instagram.
Along with new photos from the event, Brittany also reacted to the event itself. As per the mother-of-two, it is a blessing to be able to work with such causes. Focused on Kansas City first, The Mahomies Foundation is slowly trying to make an impact on local communities.
"Truly a blessing to be able to make an impact in these communities!" Brittany wrote in her caption.
The night itself was hosted to celebrate the Kansas City community, where over 850 people showed up to support Patrick Mahomes and his cause. In fact, they even raised over a million for local KC-based charities.
"The 5th Annual 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Gala! Over 850 incredible supporters in attendance and $1,077,000 granted to 20 Kansas City charities up on stage. Thank you to all of our amazing partners who continue to help us take this event to a new level each year. Together, we are changing lives. Let’s keep it rolling! ⏰💛," the foundation wrote.
Patrick Mahomes and Brittany hosted a charity gala in Las Vegas in April
Before their event in Kansas City, Mahomes and Brittany were in Vegas for their charity gala. This was an auction the foundation hosted, where the proceeds ultimately went to a non-profit.
This event was also attended by teammate Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift. The singer even contributed with Eras Tour tickets, which sold for $80,000 at the auction.
Kelce, who was at the show and hosting for a bit, shared that they decided to contribute together.
“I was just talking to my significant other and, uh, we might have one other auction item that wasn’t on the docket," the TE said on the stage. "Has anyone ever heard of the Eras tour?”
With the Eras Tour emerging as one of the most popular and successful tours in history, there were countless members in the audience ready to spend some money to acquire those tickets.
Dedicated to improving the lives of children, Mahomes started the charity in 2019.
